Sleep Walking In The Park. About a dream I had where I went down to the local park at the end of my street in Berlin at night and saw a ghostly figure summoning me towards the trees. It was mid-winter and the rabbits had all gathered around the figure who was calming and peaceful. A brass band was warming up somewhere far off. I took the spirit home to sleep in my piano...
lyrics
I
caught you out sleepwalking in our park i'd
seen you there before when it was dark you
seemed to be so happy there amoung the trees still
death shock went directly to my knees
I
watched your most disturbing fingers bend
colourfast and creepy at their ends
distinctly heard the crackling to life of a brass band your
fingers summoned me like mother's hands...
(stars just fall like grains of sand...)
I
dripped down to my knees and bent to crawl and
followed as we vanished through thin walls i
took you in and kept you hidden in my room
piano in the corner as your tomb
sip and breathe your vapour makes me ill the
only thing to save me is my pill so
should you find yourself sleepwalking in the dark please
crack a branch or scream to stop my heart...

recorded late at night in my Berlin flat using mesh heads on the drums. I miked it close just to get a guide track but then became fixated with the weird drum sound and kept it. No cymbals on this track which came out from needing to be quiet but it actually helps the track to sound darker.
